Baked Ziti with Cauliflower
You can add vegetables to just about any baked pasta dish, and cauliflower happens to work very well in this one, inspired by a Sicilian cauliflower dish in Clifford A. Wright’s “Cucinia Paradiso.” Heirloom tomatoes, roasted shallots, and fresh sage create the base of this Italian classic. Layers and layers of herb-infused pecorino romano, ricotta, mozzarella cheese, and your choice of organic chicken or Italian sausage make this family-meal a full-sensory experience. Please Note: This dish comes as a simple take-and-bake pasta dish, or as a Family Meal, which includes a loaded family-style salad prepared with local Ohana No Till Farms Mizuna, organic heirloom tomatoes, fresh grated parmesan and fresh cracked pepper. Baking Instructions: Heat the oven to 375 degrees. Place in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until bubbling. Serve hot.
